Decide where the work belongs
Separate block from clarity
Elevate a cart with no eligible option or a price that changes at payment above a label that needs clearer timing language. Treat an order saved with a different shipping service as a fulfillment-integrity issue, even if payment succeeds.
Describe affected scope
List tested regions, cart shapes, item classes, quantities, and locales. Include only reproducible support cases. Do not extrapolate from one address or assume a rule applies to every carrier, warehouse, or delivery speed.
Choose a safe fallback
Decide whether to show a clear unavailable state, preserve the selected option while recalculating, or pause before payment when price or service is unknown. Avoid silently choosing a slower or more expensive option. Assign ownership for the fallback copy and rule.
What to carry forward
Prioritize a blocked or mispriced shipping choice ahead of wording polish, and raise urgency when the saved order differs from what the shopper selected. Record the tested scope, safe fallback, owner, and evidence gap behind the queue decision.
Keep the decision with the work.
Use a Work Item in Aglet to record the problem, the evidence you have, and the next decision. Add an owner and priority, then keep updates in the discussion so the next person can follow the reasoning.
