Check whether the outcome improved
Check the context manifest
Assert every material artifact has source, timestamp or revision, scope, and role, with an explicit freshness cutoff or historical label. Mark unavailable dates and inferred currentness as failures. Confirm the manifest matches the sources the agent actually received.
Compare a changed case
Use a fixture or bounded real example where one context artifact changes materially. Hold the question and criteria constant, then compare selected evidence, claim, recommendation, and uncertainty. Confirm a current result responds to the change or explains why it does not.
Review handoff limits
Verify the output states the context date, revisions, historical scope, missing current sources, and refresh needed for reuse. Check that a reviewer can identify claims requiring revalidation. Retain manifests, comparisons, and exact task revision with the verification result.
What to carry forward
Accept context when material inputs meet the stated freshness rule or carry a clear historical label, revisions are traceable, and a changed case affects conclusions as expected. Keep verification open for inferred dates or unavailable current sources. Report the decision window and context limits covered.
Keep the decision with the work.
Use a Work Item in Aglet to record the problem, the evidence you have, and the next decision. Add an owner and priority, then keep updates in the discussion so the next person can follow the reasoning.
