Establish what is happening
Inventory context age
List files, records, briefs, screenshots, logs, configuration, and prior decisions used by the agent, with source, timestamp, revision, and scope. Mark artifacts that changed after collection or lack a reliable date. Keep current and historical context distinguishable.
Compare material changes
Check the current system or source for changes to behavior, schema, ownership, data, requirements, and environment. Identify which claims depend on each changed artifact. A newer timestamp matters only when the changed content can alter the decision.
Bound relevance
Group affected claims by stale artifact, decision, and time window. Record the smallest refresh needed, the evidence that remains valid, and the stopping condition. Keep the result provisional when current observations cannot be obtained or historical context is part of the question.
What to carry forward
Return a context-freshness brief with artifacts, revisions, material changes, affected claims, valid remainder, and refresh boundary. Triage stops when a reviewer can tell which conclusions remain relevant. Keep the workflow open when freshness requirements or current observations are not defined.
Keep the decision with the work.
Use a Work Item in Aglet to record the problem, the evidence you have, and the next decision. Add an owner and priority, then keep updates in the discussion so the next person can follow the reasoning.
