Repeat the trigger
Use the same request shape, data condition, scheduled job, cohort, or cache boundary implicated in the investigation. Record when the trigger occurred and whether exposure or configuration differs from the original episode.
Observe through the delay
Track errors, successful completion, retries, latency, and downstream effects across the expected waiting interval. A clean immediate result is only an intermediate observation when the symptom historically appeared later.
Review recurrence evidence
Compare the delayed window with a known-good interval or unaffected control and apply the checkpoint rule. If the full interval is incomplete, leave verification pending with a date and owner.
What to carry forward
Verification should say recovered, still failing, or inconclusive and include the completed waiting interval, trigger, and comparison. Close only when the delayed recurrence window is covered; otherwise preserve the pending result instead of implying success. The review window should include the suspected delay and a comparable control period, because an immediate clean result cannot answer whether the original symptom will return later.
