Verify a Solution Alternative Before Commitment

Verification makes a solution choice accountable to the problem it should improve. Review alternatives using a shared outcome and context, inspect user and operational consequences, and record what remains uncertain. A verified option can move forward without claiming that every alternative was exhausted.

Check whether the outcome improved

  1. Set comparison checks

    Require a shared user outcome, current baseline, affected users, changed journey, constraints, test evidence, and reversibility note for each option. Add a check that a defer or reuse path is considered where it could meet the need.

  2. Review matched evidence

    Compare options through the same scenario, participant context, or service walkthrough. Inspect new burdens, access effects, recovery, and downstream work. Record differences that are observed and those still estimated for later review.

  3. Record the decision boundary

    Choose an option, another exploration, or a pause. State what the evidence confirms and what it cannot establish about adoption or long-term cost. Give unresolved feasibility or user questions an owner and review date.

The verification record should show shared outcome, matched comparison, evidence, burdens, reversibility, and open constraints. Approve a path only within the tested context. Keep alternatives visible when an unresolved assumption could change the commitment. under the stated constraints.
