Check whether the outcome improved
Check reviewer qualification
Confirm each reassigned item matches the alternate reviewer’s authority and expertise boundary. Ensure required signoffs, privacy limits, and dependency decisions remain assigned to the role that controls them. Confirm the delegated item’s decision boundary before treating alternate review as equivalent.
Audit review evidence
Follow the question, evidence, decision, dissent, and outcome for a redistributed item. Check that the record is understandable without a private conversation and that missing context returns the item for clarification.
Compare queue movement
Review waiting time, unresolved decisions, and reopen or escalation signals for the new path. Interpret changes cautiously; faster completion does not prove quality if decision scope or required review was reduced.
What to carry forward
Verification passes when reassigned decisions have qualified coverage, traceable evidence, intact required approvals, and an interpretable queue result. If an alternate path lacks authority or context, return the item to the scarce reviewer and record the capacity constraint.
Keep the decision with the work.
Use a Work Item in Aglet to record the problem, the evidence you have, and the next decision. Add an owner and priority, then keep updates in the discussion so the next person can follow the reasoning.
