Keep the lesson for the next incident
Save the comparison story
Keep the original opportunity wording, normalized versions, evidence links, rejected alternatives, and final rationale together. Include a counterexample that constrained the decision. This lets a future team understand why an apparently obvious candidate was deferred.
Improve the framing ritual
Change the opportunity review template or workshop so every statement names a user outcome, context, and evidence type. Add a prompt for solution contamination and a space for disconfirming cases. Explain how the new ritual addresses the observed comparison failure.
Define a revisit trigger
Choose a signal such as a repeated workaround, a new segment, or a changed service constraint that should reopen the comparison. Set an owner and date for review. Keep the old ranking visible so a new result can be compared with the earlier reasoning.
What to carry forward
The learning record should connect the compared opportunities to the evidence, framing change, and revisit signal. State which opportunity advanced and why, while retaining uncertainty around the others. A durable lesson improves the next comparison instead of turning one ranking into a universal rule.

Keep the decision with the work.
Use a Work Item in Aglet to record the problem, the evidence you have, and the next decision. Add an owner and priority, then keep updates in the discussion so the next person can follow the reasoning.
