Verify corrected environment context for a deployment

Verification should prove context alignment across independent records. Revisit the original mismatch and check that the environment label, stable identifiers, and observed behavior agree. Do not treat a corrected display as proof that traffic or configuration changed.

Check whether the outcome improved

  1. Repeat the identity comparison

Compare intended and observed project, environment, service, repository, deployment, and commit values using the same records as triage. Record exact matches and any field that remains unavailable or delayed.

  2. Check runtime evidence

Confirm that version, routing, configuration, or request metadata aligns with the named environment. If the fix was reporting-only, say so clearly and retain the separate execution question.

  3. Review the next decision

Re-evaluate the release or verification decision that was blocked by ambiguity. If evidence still conflicts, leave the mismatch open with a new review point rather than converting a partial correction into success.

What to carry forward

Verification is complete when context agrees across the relevant records and the remaining uncertainty is explicit. Report corrected reporting context, corrected execution context, or inconclusive evidence separately so later readers do not overread the result. A healthy page or corrected label is insufficient when the served version remains unconfirmed; retain reporting and execution checks as separate conclusions with their own evidence.

Keep the decision with the work.

Use a Work Item in Aglet to record the problem, the evidence you have, and the next decision. Add an owner and priority, then keep updates in the discussion so the next person can follow the reasoning.
