Check the hard zero
Submit a query with no known match and confirm the message does not imply inventory or a fix that was not observed. Verify any related suggestion has a clear relationship and that the literal query can be edited or retried.
Check the filtered zero
Apply a combination that removes all rows, then remove one filter or broaden scope. Confirm the action restores a relevant result and does not discard the query. Record counts and labels so the recovery is not only visual.
Review direct and narrow paths
Open the empty URL directly and inspect mobile or narrow layout. Check focus, result status, and reset controls. Limit closure language to tested classes; leave a missing inventory or index case open when its cause remains unknown.
What to carry forward
Verification passes when hard and filtered zeros are distinguishable, copy is truthful, and at least one recovery preserves useful intent. If a direct link or device path differs, document it. A populated fallback is not a pass when it abandons the original search job.
