Replay representative file sizes
Use the original file shape, a smaller file, and a near-boundary size with the same route, device, account state, and connection profiles. Record preparation, first progress, pauses, completion, final record, and errors. Repeat a cold attempt and a retry when local state could change the path.
Check progress and recovery semantics
Interrupt or slow the transfer and confirm progress reflects bytes or a clearly named processing phase. Exercise cancel, retry, navigation away, and return to the workflow. Ensure a failed attempt leaves a recoverable state and that a retry does not silently create a second completed attachment.
Confirm content and final state
Compare uploaded size, type, checksum or equivalent integrity evidence, filename handling, and downstream visibility with the baseline. Check validation errors, permission failures, and processing delays separately. Confirm the interface distinguishes accepted, processing, failed, and completed outcomes.
What to carry forward
Classify the upload result as improved, regressed, unchanged, or inconclusive with file, connection, timing, and integrity evidence attached. It passes only when progress has a truthful meaning, completion is durable, cancellation and retry are safe, and the final workflow can use the uploaded result.
