Check whether the outcome improved
Run marked image cases
Use sideways pixels with orientation metadata, upright pixels without metadata, and a mirrored case if supported. Record expected visible landmarks, dimensions, and metadata treatment before selecting each file.
Compare preview and output
Inspect the local preview, processed representation, downloaded file, and final viewing path. Confirm landmarks, rotation, crop, and dimensions match the documented expectation, and note any intentional normalization of metadata.
Check edit and revisit paths
Rotate or crop where the workflow allows, save the result, and reopen it. Verify that edits do not apply the orientation twice and that a revisited preview uses the same interpretation as the delivered file.
What to carry forward
Accept orientation behavior when marked fixtures render consistently from preview through final use, with metadata and pixel transforms following the documented rule. Fail when a user can approve a visibly different orientation or when edits compound an unseen rotation.
