Keep the lesson for the next incident
Keep the prompt context
Record feature, gesture, rationale, prompt timing, permission result, in-app state, channel, and settings recovery. State what was unknown. This prevents later prompt tuning from treating permission as a simple conversion event.
Compare later choices
Review explicit opt-in, first-use, returning, deny, and dismiss paths after the change. Look for a prompt that still arrives before value or a denial that hides useful history. Preserve a no-prompt control.
Refine one opt-in check
Require future reviews to test contextual trigger, rationale, all prompt outcomes, and later settings recovery. Assign ownership and revisit date. Define the observation that would show the check improved informed choice without increasing prompt repetition. Record whether denial recovery remained discoverable later.
What to carry forward
The learning record connects one permission moment to later choice and recovery evidence. Stop when another reviewer can apply the question to a new feature. Carry forward uncertainty where platform permission state or external delivery limits the observation.

Keep the decision with the work.
Use a Work Item in Aglet to record the problem, the evidence you have, and the next decision. Add an owner and priority, then keep updates in the discussion so the next person can follow the reasoning.
