Check whether the outcome improved
Check a duplicate inside the window
Replay the same event through retry or another channel and confirm one understandable representation remains. Verify identity, state, timestamp, action, and history. Record any expected channel delay. Check that history still names the source event.
Check a real repeat
Create or review a distinct state change inside or near the window and confirm it is not suppressed. Ensure the latest action, resource, and summary remain visible when grouped. Record the boundary that kept the transition visible.
Review boundaries
Test outside-window timing, direct history, narrow layout, empty state, and channel-specific output. State identity and platform coverage. Leave a partial pass when source identity or external delivery is not directly verifiable. Keep a distinct transition visible beside the merged retry.
What to carry forward
Verification passes when duplicate event representations coalesce within the defined boundary and real transitions remain visible with their actions. If timing or channel coverage is partial, document it. Fewer notifications alone is not evidence of a correct window.
