Verify a feedback priority decision after disagreement

Verification is about decision quality, not unanimous approval. Confirm the selected evidence, comparison basis, owner, and revisit condition, then ensure the item remains legible to someone who did not participate in the disagreement. An independent reviewer should be able to reconstruct the ranking without attending the original debate.

Check whether the outcome improved

  1. Audit the comparison basis

    Recheck that the ranked request and nearby items use comparable definitions of reach, severity, urgency, confidence, and effort. Confirm duplicate handling and time windows, and mark dimensions that remain qualitative.

  2. Exercise the rationale

    Ask whether the written reason would lead another reviewer to the same position given the evidence. Check that the delayed alternative and its customer cost are stated rather than hidden in meeting memory.

  3. Test the revisit trigger

    Verify that a new report, investigation result, date, or product change would be noticed by an assigned owner. Ensure the trigger can move the item without requiring the original participants to recreate the debate.

What to carry forward

Verification passes when the decision basis is comparable, the tradeoff is explicit, and a future trigger can reopen the ranking. If the record depends on undocumented consensus or private context, keep the disagreement unresolved and repair the decision record.
