Retain sequence exemplars
Keep two groups, reset edges, missing periods, reordered input, filtered views, and a non-cumulative control with expected values. Record report revision, labels, annotations, and export cells. Preserve the original smooth but misleading series beside the agreed interpretation.
Classify recurrence signals
Review earlier questions for partition drift, reset changes, input ordering, carried values, missing periods, and charts that omitted the running basis. Group named cases by missing definition or review cue. Avoid assuming one accumulation policy fits every report.
Assign measure stewardship
Make the metric owner maintain start and reset rules while the report owner checks charts, filters, and exports after changes. Add a trigger for grouping, period, or missing-value policy changes. State which sequence cases the fixture detects and which business definitions require human agreement.
What to carry forward
The learning record is complete when it links cumulative confusion to a missing start, partition, or reset contract, preserves sequence fixtures, and names an owner and trigger. Keep intentionally different running horizons labeled so future readers do not merge valid series.
